COMPLIANCE STATUS REPORT
REPORT DATE: NOVEMBER 15, 2003


    The following definitions are essential to the interpretation of the report:

    INVESTIGATIONS -

    CT (Compliance Test) - Investigations initiated based on the results of scheduled compliance test programs.

    CI Number - OVSC Compliance Investigation Number (such as "CI-208-020320")

    PE Number - OVSC Preliminary Evaluation Number (such as "PE-214-020320")

    The following types of investigations initiated as a result of information obtained from sources other than scheduled compliance test programs such as consumer complaints, industry disclosures, articles in the news media, etc:

    IN (Inspection) CP (Complaint) MD (Manufacturer Defect)
    ID (Part 574) MI (Manufacturer Inquiry)  

    COMPLIANCE TESTING -

    TEST PROGRAM - Tests conducted in accordance with scheduled compliance test programs

    RETEST - Retesting of items that have initially failed during a scheduled compliance test program

    RESPONSIVE - Not a part of a scheduled compliance test program but consists of special testing, consumer complaint testing, etc.

    COMPLIANCE TESTING LEGEND -

    The following identifiers are used:

    STD - Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) or Regulation (i.e., Part 575, Part 567)

    LAB - Testing laboratory under contract to OVSC

    GRP - Test report group number. The following identifiers are found in the last character of the GRP number for those tests other than SCHEDULED compliance tests: R - Retest, T - Response test

    US MFR/US DISTRIBUTOR - Manufacturer or distributor of motor vehicle or equipment item

    MAKE - Make of motor vehicle or equipment item

    MODEL - Information for motor vehicle or equipment item

    STYLE/COMPONENT - Information for motor vehicle or equipment item

    IDENTIFICATION NUMBER - Tire identification number

    MY - Motor vehicle model year

    HS NO. - Test report number used by the NHTSA Technical Information Services for identification purposes

    RESULT - Test results (PASS or FAIL)
