4) if approved, modification is evaluated over several courses by chiefs/trainers, 5) if modification is to be incorporated, coordinator notifies MSF of such, 6) States’ RiderCoaches are notified of modification, with details attached

Instructor Selection, Training, and Evaluation
- State certification of Instructors is not required.
- Prospective Instructors are trained by Chief Instructors/RiderCoach Trainers and RiderCoaches.
- Prospective Instructors must successfully complete a two-course probationary period.
- Evaluation process includes student and peer evaluations. Chief Instructor/RiderCoach Trainer evaluations include observation for a minimum of one course, and Instructors/RiderCoaches are sent a written notice following a negative evaluation.
- Annual updates are required for Instructors.
- State offers Instructor Preparation Course (IPC).
