Survey Results The second phase
of the study was to experiment with the other modules of the software
and to assess the efficiency and utility of the product. The participants
were asked to rate, on a scale of 1 to 10, each of the modules with respect
to ease of use, clarity, functionality, and practicality. The complete
results are provided in Appendix B. The module that received the lowest
ratings, both for the software and the manual, was the database transfer
application of the software. These results were not surprising, considering
the fact that a person attempting to transfer data into or out of the
software needs to have a limited amount of skill at manipulating databases.
Unfortunately at this time, there is not an easy way to simplify this
process. Finally, the users were asked to record specific comments and errors on a separate form. These results have also been summarized and are provided in Appendix C. The errors noted by the users that have since been corrected are denoted with an asterisk. The remaining comments were addressed to the extent possible under this effort. Other comments will require follow up to more fully understand them and may be addressed as part of an updated version of the software. |
