Evaluation of Female Driver Responses to Impaired Driving Messages
To find out women's opinions of some public service announcements and brochures dealing with drinking and driving.
An informal discussion among about ten women. There are no right or wrong answers. We are looking for opinions. Participation is confidential.
We are recruiting participants for a group discussion in our Landover and Rockville offices. My name is Charles Hayes and I work for the Public Services Research Institute here in Landover. We will pay $50 to women participating in a 2-hour focus group. We will also provide refreshments (light snacks). I'd like to ask you a few questions to see if you will be able to participate.

We have a few suggestions when you come to the group:
1. Come to the group 15 minutes ahead of time.
2. If you cannot make it, please cancel at least 24 hours before the group so we can find a replacement.
3. Bring your reading glasses, if you need them.
4. Because of the nature of the groups and because we do not have child-care, no children will be allowed (so please don't bring your kids).

Purpose: To find out younger women's opinions of some Public Service Announcements dealing with drinking and driving. (videos, radio spots, printed material)
Session: The focus group will be a confidential discussion among about ten younger women. You probably won't know anyone else in your group.
Atmosphere: Informal. There is no pressure: it's not a debate and there are no right or wrong answers. Most people find it quite interesting.
