MOTORCYCLE SAFETY

Program Materials

The Detection of DUI Motorcyclists (1) is a brochure primarily for law enforcement officers to improve their ability to identify impaired operators. A training video is also available. (October 1992, DOT HS 807 856, Item #6P0058)

NHTSA is in the process of developing a "National Agenda for Motorcycle Safety," a comprehensive plan to promote and enhance motorcycle safety. A national meeting is tentatively scheduled for late 1999 with a final document to be published in early 2000. Check out the NHTSA Web site at http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov to get more information as it becomes available.
