The Buckle Up America – Operation ABC Mobilization’s
"Endorsement for Enforcement"
P A R T I C I P A T I O N F O R M
Not for Use By Law Enforcement
If you participated in past Mobilizations, we thank you for your help in making them successful. You must, however, complete and return this form to be counted again for November 1999.
We want to protect children from the number one threat to their lives – being unrestrained in a crash – and show law enforcement our thanks for their ceaseless work to save children’s lives.
We know that when adults buckle up, so do children.
We understand that the high visibility enforcement model is proven effective at increasing seat belt use rates – and that seat belt use saves lives.
We will do our part to increase attention to the need for high visibility enforcement and insist on zero tolerance for unbuckled kids. We will inform the media, policy makers and our constituents about the value of the Operation ABC Mobilization and thank law enforcement for their lifesaving work.
Yes! We are part of the Operation ABC Mobilization’s "Endorsement for Enforcement!"

We will do the following to demonstrate our support for zero tolerance for unbuckled children:
Please fax this form to Buckle Up America at 202-366-6916 or mail it to NHTSA, NTS-21, 400 7th Street, SW, Washington, DC 20590.
Please increase the impact of your endorsement by sharing this participation form with your colleagues at other organizations. Our goal is to gather over 1,000 "Endorsement for Enforcement."
You can also help boost law enforcement participation by calling your local law enforcement agencies to find out if they have signed on to participate and offer your assistance. Contact your local media and publicize your support. Agree to work with law enforcement at media events.
Your "Endorsement for Enforcement" is a critical part of the Operation ABC Mobilization’s efforts to promote zero tolerance for unbuckled children in your community. On behalf of the Campaign and law enforcement nationwide, thank you for your work toward making this goal happen.
The first Operation ABC Mobilization of the year 2000 will take place May 22–29. Watch for the next activities planner to again assist you in buckling up America’s children.
