NHTSA publishes several series of fact sheets that are useful to local highway safety coordinators.

Traffic Safety Facts (3) is a series developed by NHTSA's National Center for Statistics & Analysis, and is updated every year with the most current Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) numbers. The set includes the following Fact Sheets:

- Large Trucks
- Motorcycles
- Occupant Protection
- Older Population
- Pedalcyclists
- Pedestrians
- School Buses
- Speeding
- State Alcohol Estimates
- Young Drivers
The entire set of 1997 facts (the last year for which statistics are available) was included in Campaign Safe & Sober Program Planner 18. Additional copies of the set or individual fact sheets are available upon request, or can be downloaded from the Web site at http://www.dot.nhtsa.gov.
