New Tips

Although school buses are an extremely safe mode of transportation, parents understandably have questions about school bus safety and how well the big yellow school bus protects their kids. These two camera-ready sheets provide brief answers to common questions in support of your school bus safety efforts.

School Buses and Safety discusses how school buses provide protection without safety belts and can be used as talking points or can be provided as a handout to parents.

Steps for School Bus Safety is designed as a handout for parents and caregivers about protecting their children from the greatest risk children face as school bus riders: as pedestrians in school bus loading zones.

When inclement weather sets in, pedestrians face special dangers. Walking Safely in a Winter Wonderland can be reprinted in magazines and newspapers to remind pedestrians of these dangers and help them minimize their risk of injury.
