Fake Helmets Unsafe on Any Head is a short video that educates law enforcement officers about the characteristics of motorcycle helmets that meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 218: Motorcycle Helmets (FMVSS No.218). An accompanying brochure, "How to Identify Unsafe Helmets" (listed below), provides information to support the video. (August 1998, Item #6A0007)
The National Agenda for Motorcycle Safety is a document being developed in cooperation with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation to determine the most important direction for future motorcycle safety efforts. Incorporating input from a broad multidisciplinary spectrum of stakeholders, it will provide guiding principals for emphasizing motorcycle safety at the national, state and local levels. A technical working group of motorcycle and traffic safety experts created this publication with support from NHTSA.
