This package contains camera-ready materials to help you get highway safety messages out to your community. All pieces may be reproduced in their entirety without credit or reprint information. These fact sheets and logos are printed in black and white on photo-ready paper to help assure high-quality reproduction. It is a good idea to leave all materials wrapped in the plastic until they are needed so they remain clean and free of fingerprints. The following tip sheets are available to reproduce on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Please reproduce each piece in its entirety. Bicycle Safety Begins with the Proper Fit is a list of tips that can be reprinted as a timely safety reminder for riders and parents of riders. It describes proper fit of both bicycles and bicycle helmets as well as behavioral tips for safely sharing the road with motor vehicles. Good Tips for Safe Trips targets anyone who may be taking a summer vacation by car. The piece suggests many possible ways of reprinting to reach this broad audience. Its No Trick: Be Safe on Halloween offers tips for program planners to help keep both children and adults safe during this popular holiday. The reprintable section offers tips for costumes and pedestrian safety, and for motorists who may encounter children in and around roadways. Kids Be Safe! (placemat/tray liner) provides fun tips to kids about riding in cars, walking, skating, biking, and getting to school safely. There is also a find-a-word puzzle highlighting safety messages, to entertain and occupy children. The Dos and Donts of Transporting Children in an Ambulance is a one-page fact sheet for EMS professionals with instructions for minimizing the risks to children in ambulances.
