All results are available at the agency’s web site: www.safercar.gov.

New 2005 ratings for frontal impact are available for the following pickup trucks:  Chevrolet Colorado 2-DR, Chevrolet Silverado 4-DR, Dodge Dakota 2-DR, Dodge Dakota 4-DR, GMC Canyon 2-DR, GMC Sierra 4-DR, Nissan Frontier 4-DR, Nissan Titan 4-DR and Toyota Tacoma 2-DR.

NHTSA crash test ratings apply to both 4x2 and 4x4 versions of the same make and model.  Separate rollover testing is done for 4x2 and 4x4 versions of 2005 models selected for rollover testing.

New 2005 rollover ratings are available for the: Dodge Dakota 4x2 2-DR, Dodge Dakota 4x2 2-DR, Dodge Dakota 4x4 2-DR, Dodge Dakota 4x4 4-DR.

Several pickups earned 4-stars for rollover rating. The highest rated vehicle was the Chevrolet Silverado 4x2 and its corporate twin, the GMC Sierra 4x2, with 4-stars and a 15.9 percent chance of rollover if involved in a single-vehicle crash. The lowest rated vehicle was the Ford Ranger 4x4 and its corporate twin, the Mazda B-Series 4x4, with 2-stars and a 30.6 percent chance of rollover.
